Description | The settlement was first mentioned in written sources in 1748. Originally a village. It was founded by Russian yasash peasants on the lands of the Udmurts of the Arsk road of the Kazan district, who paid tax (yasak) to the state treasury along with the Udmurts. In the second half of the 18th century, after they were registered with the Votkinsk state-owned plant, they began to be called state peasants. The name Polozovo comes, most likely, from the nickname Poloz, which was worn by one of the founders of the village. |
