Yei Bi Chei and Totem Pole, surrounded by desert valleys, mesas, and buttes. Monument Valley Tribal Park, Utah/Arizona, USA
Usually, if I like the place's potential but am unhappy with the results, I return to the same place again and again till I get the picture I want.
Sometimes such an approach is not an option.
In the fall of 2007, I obtained group permits for aerial photography during my workshop from the Navajo Nation Film Office and Monument Valley Tribal Park.
The costly and not easy procedure which I'm not going to do again.
I was using a 12mp Nikon D2-X at the time and also borrowed a 16pm Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II from my friend. File size, high ISO performance, and dynamic range were far from perfect on both cameras, and I was not happy with most of the images taken in low light conditions.
As postprocessing software and techniques have greatly improved over 15 years, I'm returning to the same images again and again, trying to get satisfactory results.

В принципе, всё бы ничего, но red зашкаливает. И в тенях, и в светах. Его прибрать да чуть осветлить - и вся недолга! :)
