Description
Filippovskoe is a village in the Kirzhachsky district of the Vladimir region of Russia on the Sherna river. It was first mentioned in the XIV century, when the Grand Duke Vasily Dmitrievich was given to the Moscow Chudov Monastery and until 1764 remained in the possession of the monastery.
This bridge is a remnant of the historic Stromynsky tract leading from Moscow to Suzdal. In September-October 1812, the 4th regiment of the Vladimir militia was stationed in the village, blocking the path of the French troops to the Vladimir province.
