SD and CFexpress Memory Card Deals: Models and Current Prices

Memory cards have become noticeably more expensive over the past year. One reason is a shortage of flash memory, driven by growing demand from the artificial intelligence industry. Photographers have to pay more than before, but some models are currently discounted.

Deals on SD Cards

Panasonic, best known for its cameras and lenses, also makes memory cards. The 64GB Panasonic microP2 UHS-II, rated V90, is $220 off and now costs $99.

At the other end of the capacity range is the 2TB SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC. It has a V30 speed rating, but offers significantly more storage than the other cards in this roundup. It’s $203 off, bringing the price down to $549.99.

The 512GB SanDisk Creator Series UHS-II is rated V60. After a $123 discount, the card costs $339.99.

Two V90-rated models offer write speeds above 260 MB/s. The 256GB Sony Tough UHS-II is available for $418 after a $120 discount. This offer is valid through Sunday, October 18. The 512GB Lexar 2000x UHS-II costs $539, $100 less than its previous price.

Not every photographer needs a V90-rated card; V60 is enough for many types of shooting. For example, the 512GB PNY Elite X-Pro60 UHS-II SDXC costs $199.99 after an instant $100 discount. The SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-II SDXC offers the same 512GB capacity and a V60 rating; with a $95 discount, it costs $329.99. The Lexar Professional 1800x UHS-II SDXC offers even more capacity at 1TB. A $90 discount brings the price of this model down to $509.99.

Deals on CFexpress Type A

There are fewer discounts on CFexpress Type A cards than on SD cards, but several options are available.
